First off...I'm blogging from an unfamiliar computer(I'm at a tournament myself), and can't figure out how to add pictures to this blog. For those of you with an imagination, I would probably have a picture of Tsonga jumping up and down on the left, and Nalbandian hitting a backhand on the right.
Now...
What could be better than the last Master's Cup spot coming down to one match...winner takes a Masters shield, and a trip to Shanghai. This is the case on Sunday, as Tsonga and Nalbandian will battle it out.
Meanwhile, Del Potro booked his first trip to Shanghai. Congrats, unreal season.
So how did they get there? Blake lost to Tsonga in straights, and Nalbandian, after a grind-a-thon, beat Davydenko 4 in the third.
This sets up the showdown...my prediction? Well how can I go against Nalbandian...the guy is on a death mission to get to Shanghai, and if his body holds up, I think he will... 7-6, 6-2.
Now it's time for THE TENNIS PSYCHIC.
It's the first of a series that I will try and do every month. It is 2 predictions that I make for the upcoming week, month, or year of tennis.
#1 Novak Djokovic will not be in the top 5 after the Aussie Open
-Well i could have made this a lot safer by saying that he wouldn't be in the top 4, but oh well, I'll go for the big prediction. Who is going to take his spot? Well, I think Murray is a lock, and Del Potro, Nalbandian, and Davydenko are all guys that could push him out if he's not careful.
#2 Davydenko will make it to the semis of the Masters Cup.
-This is a pretty big prediction as well, considering Davydenko always seems a bit happy to be at Shanghai, and gets away from his grind mentality. I think he has a chance to make it to the semis this year, although it does all depend on his draw. If he is paired with Nadal, he has a better shot.
That's it for this time...Hopefully I'll have time to blog tomorrow, because that would mean I did well, if not I will be in the car most of the day, and might have to skip a day. See you soon.
